Insert the provided microSD card into a microSD Card Reader (not provided), and plug it into your computer. Copy the firmware file to the root directory on the microSD card. Power on the remote controller and the aircraft. Watch the LCD display on the remote controller and wait for the remote controller to connect to the aircraft. Insert the microSD card into the camera. Watch the LCD on the remote controller to see the file begin unpacking (which takes 30 to 60 seconds). If unpacking fails, delete the update file from the microSD card and start again at Step 1.

After the LCD indicates that each update was successful, power off the aircraft and the remote controller to complete the update. Power back on and you are ready to fly. To retry a firmware update after a failure:. Power off the aircraft and remote controller. Remove the microSD card from the camera.

Insert the microSD card into the microSD card reader, and plug the card reader into your computer. On your computer, open the folder for the microSD card reader and locate the update file you previously copied into the root directory. Rename the update file by right-clicking it and selecting Rename. Highlight the “-old” section of the file name, press the delete key, and then press the Enter key. A warning will appear. Click Yes to confirm the name change.
