Thanks, I'll try picking out a couple tracks and sending them over when i get a chance. I'd be interested to know of people's experiences using these packages and the effect it had on thier Serato setup (autogain being the most obvious!).

Be great to have all my tracks nicely key'd up should I ever fancy doing a little mix in that style.be great for mixshows etc. Currently on SL3 with autogain set to '92' and have set all my tracks to show one flashing yellow max on the channel gains.now I can see this going out of the window with PlatinumNotes and having to reset all my gains again which would be a nightmare.

Or.could you reset the levels with PlatinumNotes and simply turnoff the autogain in Serato and your tracks play at the optimum output volume via Serato??? I bought both a few years back. Mixed in Key is awesome. I think it works great. Platinum Notes I'm not really a fan of. I don't like the way it makes the tracks sound.

I'd be wary of any all in one mastering package claiming to heal your music, correct song pitch, dynamics, etc. Especially since you're generally not going to be working with the raw files exclusively, you may have some but not all, so I'm also not into re-encoding mp3's. And even with the raw files I'm still not into the sound. But I do like Platinum Notes for one thing.

If you do iPod programming for companies, store events etc. On the side, it works really well for getting all the tracks at the same level, works much better than the sound check feature in iTunes. Also on rare instances I'll use it on older tracks that haven't been remastered by today's standards, like they're super quiet and the waveform looks like a sliver in Serato.

It does a good job of making it louder, better than the autogain function. But I still use the autogain after. It's not going to distort the files for those wondering about that. I have heard of a few instances where there was an extra beat added onto the beginning of a song or it was cut short, but most people do not have this problem. As far as I know there is no such thing as 100% accuracy;) Other people have said they didn't like the sound, but when the turned the pitch correction off they loved it. Download os 7 blackberry. I usually only recommend using pitch correction for songs ripped from vinyl.
