Device IP Config Wizard. Blackmagic decklink software. To put an Network Management Card AP9619 in a SURT3000. To configure it I download Device IP Configuration Wizard software from APC site. Network Management Card Device IP Configuration Wizard Error: This IP address could not be set.

We have 2 x APC Smart UPS 2200VA units at different sites. We have installed 2 x 9630 Network Management cards in them and connected them to the switch at the appropriate site. Using the APC IP Configuration tool, it does detect the network cards as unconfigured and offers the ability to enter the IP address settings. I can enter IP, subnet and default gateway and select OK.

At this point everything seems ok, however the settings are not applied to the card as I cannot ping the new address, nor connect via web browser. If I run the wizard again, it sees it as an unconfigured device again. I have tried connecting to both devices via the APC serial cable from different computers and it will not communicate.

Configuration

I have also tried different APC cables in case it was that. We have tried this on both devices at both sites. The UPS devices were procured at different times as were the network cards so I would find it hard to believe that they are faulty.

Any ideas greatly appreciated as I am tearing out what is left of my hair!

Apc Ip Configuration Tool

7/15/2011 11:25 AM (in response to dario) I have never had much luck with that program, probably because the devices I've been trying to configure have been previously used! I believe the Network Config Wizard will only work with unused devices.

The easiest method to setup the AP9619 would be to attach to the serial port using the correct APC cable (ie 0024), get your IP config done on the card, then connect over your network and finish the other configs as required. If you don't have a serial connection to your laptop/pc then use a USB serial adaptor. Regards John.
